The importance of IT Governance in the digital era

Abstract
IT Governance is a framework for aligning information technology strategy with organization strategy, enabling organizations to manage their IT risks effectively and ensure stakeholders in the operation of the organization. Therefore, IT governance has become essential to an organization’s success in the digital era. In order to effectively implement IT Governance, it is important to consider IT Strategic Alignment, IT Value Delivery, Risk Management, Performance Management operations, and Resource Management. This article begins with a review of the development of public administration in the digital era, and then understands IT Governance, including background, meanings, elements, as well as the frameworks, practices, and standards associated with IT Governance.
