Employees’ Acceptance Towards Management Style of Executive Comparison Between Public and Private Sector in Thailand

This research aimed to study the employees’ acceptance towards management styles of executive comparison between public and private sectors using survey questionnaire to collect data from 800 bachelor degree holders who 400 currently worked in public organizations and 400 who worked in private organizations. Descriptive statistics were employed to analyze variables whereas t–test and One-way ANOVA were used to test hypothesis.
The results from this research found the acceptance of executives’ management 6 factors in overall found the acceptance in different mean levels; leadership, self-adjustment to working environment, assessment system, reward and punishment system, satisfaction in superiors, and satisfaction in working. When compared between public and private sector, the results revealed that the government officers accepted their executives’ management style in every dimensions higher than the employees in the private sector except self-adjustment to working environment dimension which was the only mean lower than the acceptance of the employees in the private sector. Finally, the results from hypothesis tests revealed that employees both in public and private sector accepted their executives’ management styles including leadership, self-adjustment to working environment, assessment system, satisfied in superiors, and satisfied in working at significant level .05, but did not for rewards and punishment system.
