Guidelines of Community Happiness Development: The Case Study of a Community in Eastern Region of Thailand

The purposes of this phenomenology qualitative study were to investigate issues that impact on the people happiness and to study happiness of people in a community in the eastern region of Thailand. The purposive sampling included 35 people who live in the community. Data were collected using literature review, observation, and in-depth. Triangulation was used to ensure credibility of the result while content analysis was used to analyze the data. The findings revealed that: - there were 4 dimensions that impacted the people’s happiness in the community which are social, economic, political, and health dimensions. In addition, the study provides 4 guidelines to improve people’s happiness in the community including cooperation between people community, health promotion, create volunteer opportunities in community, and community’s natural resource conservation.
