Abstract
การเกิดในครอบครัว “หมอธรรม” ซึ่งเป็นผู้นำทางด้านจิตวิญญาณของชาวบ้าน การสัมผัสเรื่องราวดังกล่าวมาตั้งแต่วัยเยาว์ ทำให้รู้ว่าหมอธรรมไม่ใช่ผู้วิเศษเหนือมนุษย์ทั่วไป ไม่ใช่พระนักบวชในพุทธศาสนา หมอธรรมมีภรรยาและครอบครัวได้ มีหนี้สินและตายได้ (บิดาซึ่งเป็นหมอธรรมได้เสียชีวิตแล้ว) การเป็นหมอธรรมเริ่มจากการไป ขอบวชธรรมและถวายตัวเป็นลูกศิษย์กับหมอธรรมอาวุโสที่บวชธรรมมานาน เพื่อศึกษาคาถาธรรมสำหรับใช้ป้องกันและขจัดภัยจากสิ่งเร้นลับและสิ่งชั่วร้าย
