The Preparation to Enhance Thai Dulcimer Playing Skills of Early Childhood

Abstract
This academic article aims to review the literatures, thesis, and related researches by presenting guidelines for teachers and parents to prepare their children to learn how to play Thai dulcimer. Although, Thai dulcimer is popular, melodious, and effortless to start to learn yet the methods for playing which depends on the synchronization between hands and eyes of the player. Therefore, the preparation becomes significant for the children since it will make them obtain the knowledge and perception which lead them to be happy with learning to play Thai dulcimer. The preparation of learning how to play Thai dulcimer is divided into 2 guidelines: (1) guidelines for teachers on conducting activities which encourage the learners to apply their muscles through 6 areas of musical skills as follows: listening, singing, moving, playing, inventing, and reading. (2) guidelines for parents to prepare their children such as selecting institutions, purchasing musical instrument, etc. All the above mentioned, will be to provide musical background and strengthen the development of the children in every field and also to preserve Thai art and culture.
