Abstract

             The purposes of this research were to study effects of transformational leadership via job measures on job performance of General Bariyattidhamma School teachers. The research sample consisted of 590 teachers. The research instruments wereTransformation Leadership scale, job satisfaction scale, empowerment perception scale, organization commitment scale and job performance scale. Descriptive statistics, path analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis were employed to analyze data.The research findings indicated that the model was fit to the empirical data (x 2 = 154.655; df = 128;p = 0.054; gfi = 0.972; agfi = 0.962; rmr = 0.048). The
variables in the causal model could explain 82.1 percents of variance for job performance. Transformational Leadership had positive direct effect on job satisfaction (0.750), organizational commitment (0.002) and job performance (0.001). Job satisfaction had positive direct effect on perception of empowerment (0.687), organizational commitment (0.192)and job performance (0.021).
