The Development of Instructional Process by Integrating Orff’s Approach and Reflective Learning to Enhance The Self-management Ability of Student Teachers

The research aimed to design and develop the instructional process based on Orff’s approach and reflective learning to enhance the self-management ability of student teachers, and to study the effectiveness of this instructional process. We used the quality evaluation form for the experts, lesson plans, and the self-management ability assessment for student teachers. The researchers studied the instructional approaches, then developed the instructional process. After the experts examined the quality of the instructional process and lesson plans, we used them with the target group consisted of 62 student teachers in social studies major of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, for 20 hours. The results were 1. the instructional process consisted of: 1) three learning principles were the inside-outside connection, the cooperation, and the self-transformation, 2) the objectives were to promote self-awareness, awareness of coexistence, self-control, and self-improvement, 3) three learning-steps were to explore, to create, and to perform, and 4) the assessment based on the authentic assessment, and 2. the average of self-management ability of student teachers after learning (=4.22, S.D.=1.33) was higher than before learning (=3.75, S.D.=1.09), the progress percentage was lower than expected (9.40% progress)
