Soul Calling Ceremony, A Ritual Ceremony for The Healing of The Khmu in Ban Nong Ped, Si Sawat District, Kanchanaburi Province

This qualificative research purposes are 1) to study the context of the Khmu community of Ban Nong Ped Si Sawat District Kanchanaburi Province 2) to study Ceremony for the Healing of the Khmu and 3) to find how to preserve inheriting the soul calling ceremony of Ban Nong Ped, Si Sawat District Kanchanaburi. This research used purposive sampling and chain sampling from the elderly 18 community philosophers and community leaders by in-depth interview and informal discussion include participant observation from research objective questions. After doing a content analysis, check the content by bringing the information back to the relevant parties to confirm the correctness.
The results showed that. 1) Khmu people in Nong Phed sub-district have a simple, secluded lifestyle, bonded like kinship. They have their own spoken language, no written language. There is an inheritance of the soul-calling ceremony that has been inherited from the parents. The ceremony has no written documents. 2) Unknown cause sickness of Khmu is believed that it was caused by the disappearance of losing soul by being punished by ancestral spirits. 3) Conservation approach inheriting the ceremony to summon the Khmu people, including 3.1) Establishing a group for preserving, inheriting, restoring traditions, way of life, and local culture. 3.2) Strengthening and developing the capacity of youth in the community to be proud, aware of and see the importance of the local way of life and problems in the ritual of summoning Kwan. 3.3) Disseminating knowledge of the rituals and culture of the Khmu people to the public through social media, public media and printed documents.
