Digital Learning Managenment Strategies Relating to the Basis of Happiness Learning for Secondary Students, Demonstration School of Suan Sunandha
Keywords:
Digital learning management, Students’ happiness, Teaching strategiesAbstract
This study aimed to investigate the current issues in digital learning management, develop digital learning management strategies for teachers that promote students’ happiness, and assess students’ levels of happiness in response to these strategies. The key informants comprised 43 teachers from 8 learning areas and 40 secondary school students from the Demonstration School of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments included interviews, digital learning management strategies for teachers, and a student happiness assessment. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining qualitative research through focus group discussions and in-depth interviews with quantitative research to evaluate students’ happiness resulting from the implemented strategies. Data was analyzed using percentages, means, and standard deviations. The Index of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) for the developed strategies ranged from 0.67 to 1.00.
The findings revealed that the current challenges in digital learning management include students’ lack of motivation and technological skills, teachers’ difficulties in designing learning activities, internet-related issues, and family and community factors. The developed strategies encompassed six dimensions: student, teacher, management, family and community, technology, and other relevant aspects. The assessment of students’ happiness indicated that students experienced high to very high levels of happiness while learning according to these strategies. The strategies contributed to promoting students’ happiness, reducing stress, and increasing satisfaction during digital learning activities.
