This research aimed to: 1) compare the growth mindset of students before and after using a guidance activities package based on the inductive teaching method for developing students’ growth mindset and 2) compare the growth mindset of students after using the guidance activity packages based on the inductive teaching method with that of those who participated in regular guidance activities. The research sample consisted of 80 Grade 8 students in the academic year 2024, drawn from 2 classrooms. Cluster sampling and simple random sampling were employed to divide the participants into an experimental group of 40 students and a control group of 40 students. The research instruments included 1) a guidance activities package, 2) regular guidance activities, and 3) a growth mindset assessment with a reliability coefficient of .81. The statistical methods employed for data analysis were percentages, means, standard deviations, and t-tests.
The research findings showed that: 1) The mean score of students on the growth mindset scale after using the guidance activities package based on the inductive teaching method was significantly higher than their score before the intervention at the .01 level of significance and 2) after the intervention, the experimental group had a significantly higher mean growth mindset score than the control group, also at the .01 level of significance.
