The Effects of Learning CIPPA model with Peer Coaching Technique Along with National Skill Standards Testing to Develop Professional Qualification Achievement on Electrical Installation Work in Buildings Level 1 for Vocational Certificate Students

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) develop the learning achievement of Level 1 Building Electrician Occupational Standard through the application of the CIPPA model combined with peer-assisted learning techniques, and 2) study the students’ satisfaction with the instructional model integrating CIPPA and peer-assisted learning techniques. The population consisted of 29 vocational certificate students in the Electrical Power Program at Don Bosco Surat Technological College, enrolled in the second semester of the academic year 2024. This study employed an experimental research design. The research instruments included an achievement test and a satisfaction questionnaire. The statistics used in the data analysis were mean, percentage, standard deviation, and paired sample t-test.

          The research findings are as follows: 1) The students' learning achievement after receiving instruction using the CIPPA model combined with peer-assisted learning techniques was significantly higher than before the instruction at the .05 level. The mean (equation ) scores before and after instruction were 49.03 and 81.72, respectively; and 2) the students' satisfaction with the instructional approach was at the highest level, equation= 4.56.
