บทคัดย่อ

           งานวิจัยนี้สำรวจพฤติกรรมและความพึงพอใจของนักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยและชาวต่างประเทศที่เดินทางมาเที่ยวเกาะช้างและเสนอแนวทางพัฒนาการท่องเที่ยวเกาะช้างเพื่อให้นักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยและชาวต่างประเทศมีความพึงพอใจเพิ่มมากขึ้น เป็นการวิจัยเชิงปริมาณด้วยการเก็บแบบสอบถามจากกกลุ่มตัวอย่างนักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยและชาวต่างประเทศที่เดินทางมาท่องเที่ยวเกาะช้าง จังหวัดตราด จำนวน 400 ชุด โดยวิธีการสุ่มตัวอย่างที่ไม่อาศัยความน่าจะเป็น สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ ได้แก่ ค่าแจกแจงความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และทดสอบสมมติฐานด้วยการทดสอบค่าเฉลี่ยแบบสองกลุ่มแบบ Z-Test


           ผลการศึกษาแสดงว่า นักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยและชาวต่างประเทศส่วนใหญ่เดินทางมาท่องเที่ยวด้วยตนเอง พักค้างคืน 2 คืน ราคาห้องพักอยู่ในช่วง 1,001-3,000 บาท/คืน มากับกลุ่มเพื่อน กิจกรรมดำน้ำเป็นกิจกรรมที่ชื่นชอบมากที่สุด และวัตถุประสงค์ของการเดินทางมาท่องเที่ยวส่วนใหญ่เป็นการเดินทางมาพักผ่อน เฉพาะนักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยเคยเดินทางมาเที่ยวเกาะช้างแล้ว 2 ครั้ง ใช้จ่ายเงินเพื่อการท่องเที่ยวประมาณ 2,001-4,000 บาท/ครั้ง ส่วนใหญ่เดินทางด้วยรถยนต์ส่วนตัว ความสวยงามของธรรมชาติที่เกาะช้างเป็นสิ่งดึงดูดใจให้มาเที่ยว ส่วนนักท่องเที่ยวชาวต่างประเทศพบว่า ส่วนใหญ่ไม่เคยเดินทางมาเที่ยวเกาะช้าง เดินทางมาด้วยรถยนต์โดยสาร และใช้จ่ายเงินเพื่อการท่องเที่ยวประมาณ 8,001-10,000 บาท/ครั้ง นักท่องเที่ยวชาวต่างประเทศส่วนใหญ่ชื่นชอบประเพณีและวัฒนธรรม ในส่วนของความพึงพอใจของนักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยที่เดินทางมาเที่ยวเกาะช้าง พบว่า นักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยมีความพึงพอใจในระดับค่อนข้างสูงต่อปัจจัยผลิตภัณฑ์/บริการในเรื่องแหล่งท่องเที่ยว สำหรับความพึงพอใจของนักท่องเที่ยวชาวต่างประเทศ พบว่า นักท่องเที่ยวชาวต่างประเทศมีความพึงพอใจในระดับสูงต่อปัจจัยผลิตภัณฑ์/บริการในเรื่องประเพณีและวัฒนธรรม ส่วนแนวทางพัฒนาการท่องเที่ยวเกาะช้างเพื่อให้นักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยและชาวต่างประเทศมีความพึงพอใจเพิ่มมากขึ้น ผู้วิจัยเสนอให้พัฒนาปัจจัยบุคลากรระดับความพึงพอใจอยู่ในระดับปานกลางและมีค่าเฉลี่ยน้อยที่สุดเมื่อเทียบกับปัจจัยอื่นด้วยการเร่งพัฒนาบุคลากรให้มีสมรรถนะขั้นพื้นฐานตามตำแหน่งงาน และได้รับการฝึกอบรมที่มีมาตรฐานสากล


 


          This research surveyed behavior and satisfaction of Thai and foreign tourists visiting Koh Chang Island and suggested guideline of Koh Chang tourism development to increase Thai and foreign tourists’ satisfaction. It’s the quantitative research by collecting questionnaires from 400 samples being Thai and foreign tourists who travelled to Koh Chang, Trad Province. Non-probability was used. Statistics was used to analyze such as frequency, percentage, mean. When testing hypothesis, it used Z-Test.


          The results revealed that most Thai and foreign tourists were independent tourists and stayed in Koh Chang for 2 nights with accommodation price between 1,001-3,000 baht per night. They came together with friend (s). The most preferred activity was diving. In particular, Thai tourists had ever gone to the island for 2 times, and spent about 2,001-4,000 baht per visit. The natural beauty of Koh Chang attracted them to visit. The main objective for visiting Koh Chang was to take a rest. For the foreign tourists, they had never travelled to the island before. They came to the island by public car with friends and spent around 8,001-10,000 baht per visit. Most of them preferred culture and traditions. With regard to the tourists’ satisfaction, Thai tourists showed that almost high level of satisfaction for Product/Service factor, in particular, tourist destination. For foreign tourists, they show high level of satisfaction for Product/Service factor, in particular, culture and traditions. The researcher suggested guideline of Koh Chang tourism development to increase Thai and foreign tourists’ satisfaction as to develop personnel to meet fundamental competency according to job position and the international standard.
