A STUDY OF TASK-BASED CHINESE LANGUAGE TEACHING: A LITERATURE REVIEW

Abstract
Task-based Chinese language teaching is one of the instructional management methods of learner-centered education, with the focus on enabling the learners to learn language via actual completion of various tasks. At present, there are numerous academic articles published in China that discuss a wide range of topics of task-based Chinese language teaching, including definition, structure, approach, problems and solutions, task design, and types of task. Many studies also expound the implementation of task-based language teaching along with other teaching methods. This article aims to review the literature on task-based Chinese language teaching conducted in China and Thailand, with the hope that the study would be of great benefit to Chinese language teaching and learning in Thailand.
