The research sample consisted of 261 employees, age 50 years or over, who worked as the supporting staff members in various work sections of Chiang Mai University. the employed research tools were (1) a questionnaire on personal characteristics, (2) a form to assess job crafting, (3) a form to assess work-related psychological well-being, (4) a form to assess perceived meaningful work, and (5) attitude towards ageing. The reliability coefficients of the four assessment forms were .87, .87, .82, and .79, respectively. This research used the analysis of the influences of intermediate variables with the use of Model 4 of PROCESS Macro Program and the Bootstrap method in hypothesis testing.
The research findings showed that the variable of perceived meaningful work and the variable of attitude towards ageing were the perfect intermediate variables in the relationship between job crafting and work-related psychological well-being of ageing employees, which was significant at the .01 level of statistical significance.
