Abstract

The aim of this experimental research is 1) To study the importance of variables affecting automotive parts production capability by automation system. 2) To study the causal relationship of variables that impact on automotive parts production capacity by automation system. This was a mixed research of both quantitative and qualitative method. Data collection was conducted on 360 entrepreneurs with a simple random sampling method as well as in-depth interview, and participation observation. Data analysis was performed by percentage, mean, standard deviation, context analysis, regression analysis, and path analysis.

The findings revealed that 1) There are 51-100 employees at the majority of enterprises with the 10 million baht. Most entrepreneurs agreed that automation of auto parts production is worth the investment because it increased productivity and effectiveness. Moreover, there was a support from the government to implement automation. 2) Production potentials of auto parts with automation in the good criteria depends on the readiness to install the automation, the support from the government, personal readiness, and organization readiness. 3) Enterprises readiness to install automation need to train its labor force.
