Main Article Content
Abstract
Abstract
The KOI model (Knowledge, Objective, and Integration) is utilized to enhance design of learning management for pre-service teachers in the 21st Century. This model is based on the student-centered principle with emphasis on practicing skills. The model consists of 3 main procedural steps: 1) the body of knowledge creation step, which is the step that enables the students to acquire knowledge and understanding of learning management design; 2) the determination of learning objectives step, which is the step that the students are required to practice the skill of correctly and clearly determination of learning objectives; and 3) the integration step, which is the step of integration of knowledge concerning the design and determination of learning objectives leading to the learning design in accordance with learning in the 21st century by using integration table for designing. The most important point in the integration step is designing learning activities according to the integration table created along with students’ thinking process on how they have designed and planned learning activities following the integration table and how each activity can serve the objectives stated. After students clearly explain all learning steps and clarify every concerned issue, they then can write the learning plans following their ideas correctly and corresponding to the principles of learning management design, using proper academic language.
