This study used qualitative research methodology. Research data were collected from 75 purposively selected key research informants consisting of the local administrators group, the community occupation group, and the group of stakeholders who were directly involved in the promotion and supports of community occupations to be community-based tourist attractions. The employed research tools were an in-depth interview form, a non-participatory observation form, and a creative focus group discussion guideline form. Research results were verified with triangulation technique and were analyzed with content analysis. The research results revealed that the community occupation groups that had used local wisdom in undertaking the occupation were the fresh water fishery group, the bamboo tissue mushroom development and mushroom product processing group, the ‘Lakhon Chatri’ occupation group, the sun-dried fish processing group, and the local cuisine production group. As for the data on development of participatory community-based tourist attraction group, it was found that the following suggestions were given: there should be the availability of sufficient water resource for undertaking the original agricultural occupation, the group leaders should have the skills and experience for management of group activities and development of group products on a continuous basis, the community members should give cooperation and have responsibility in doing the group activities, there should be work agencies to get involved in development of community products provide places for selling of community products, and there should be a forum for imparting the knowledge and experience on undertaking community occupations to the new generations to enable them to be interested and inherit the community products development. On the other hand, the problems and obstacles of developing the community occupation groups to be the community-based tourist attractions was the having limited areas for accommodating the tourists, especially the parking place and the place to exhibit the community products. The suggestions for development of a prototype of community occupation groups model to be community-based tourist attractions were as follows: there should be the setting of the location points for community occupation groups with the use of location color marking and zoning for community occupation group areas by Google Map and the value-added of community occupation groups model with the 3 Dimension Connected Attraction Cycles (3DCAC) model for perception of tourists in order to be connected the other tourist attractions around community occupation groups.
