Abstract

Frozen processed food is another product that plays an important role in product exporting of Thailand. The opening of the market in order to include frozen processed food is therefore necessary to develop and enhance the level of ability to export of Thailand. The purposes of this research were (1) to study the influence of factors affecting the production of frozen processed food industry; (2) to study the influence of the supply chain operation of processed food production for export that affects the efficiency of export. This study is the survey type of quantitative research. Research data were collected from the research sample consisting of 400 entrepreneurs of frozen processed food, obtained by stratified random sampling. The employed research tool for data collection was a 5-level rating scale questionnaire. The statistics used for data analysis were the mean, standard deviation, and analysis of structural equation modeling.

The research results were as follows: (1) the overall comment concerning efficiency enhancement of the export of frozen processed food to support the Eastern Economic Corridor Development Project by adopting the SCOR model was rated at the high level; the factors affecting the ability to export included external factors and supply chain operations, both of which having a positive influence on the ability to export; the external factors had a standardized regression weight (ß) of 0.97 and coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.940; the supply chain performance factor had a standardized regression weight (ß) of 0.82 and a predictive coefficient of determination (R2) of .680 which was consistent with the empirical data as shown by the relative chi-square (CMIN/df) of 1.201, chi-square probability level (p-value) = 0.207, Goodness of Fit Index (GFI) of 0.986, Root Mean Square Error of Approximation (RMSEA) of 0.022.
