Abstract

The objectives of this study are to explain (1) the well-being condition of the Roi Rak  Weaving Community Enterprise, (2) the identity of the community in developing the products  of the Roi Rak Weaving Community Enterprise, and (3) the management model of the Roi Rak  Weaving Community Enterprise. A qualitative research approach was employed, collecting  data through interviews with 10 members of the Roi Rak Weaving Community Enterprise and  a focus group discussion involving 8 participants, including community leaders, local scholars,  community representatives, and youths.

The research findings are as follows: 1. Regarding the well-being condition, members of  the Roi Rak Weaving Community Enterprise experienced muscle aches and fatigue from weaving  (physical health dimension), as well as anxiety about maintaining product standards and meeting  delivery deadlines (mental health dimension). However, they incorporated religious teachings  into their work (spiritual or intellectual health dimension) and received supports from the  community (social health dimension). 2. Regarding the community identity, the community  is located near a natural rocky canal in the Thung Kula Rong Hai area; the community  members uphold the “Heet 12, Khlong 14” tradition, and express the mutual care and supports.  The community is distinguished by its Sabang trees and Khit woven patterns. 3. Regarding the  management model of the community, although the group has established an organizational  structure, its meetings are conducted informally. They maintain income–expense records and  produce items based on customer orders, allowing customers to choose both materials and  designs. In terms of marketing, the group primarily focuses on setting up product booths but  lacks online marketing skills.
