Abstract

This article aims to present a conceptual framework integrating the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Organizational Support Theory (OST) to explain the mechanisms behind the emergence of green behavior among employees in the hotel industry. A synthetic literature review has revealed that Green Human Resource Management and Perceived Green Organizational Support (PGOS) are significant environmental and psychological factors in promoting attitudes and perceived self-control on employee green behavior. This article presents an integrated framework indicating that green behavior is not solely a matter of individual intention but is driven by organizational support. This theoretical finding fills concept in existing literature by explaining the link between organizational-level factors and individual psychological processes, systematically influencing the development of hotel employees’ green behavior in the hotel industry.
