「神」の多義性と神道の包括的世界観: 神道の神々とキリスト教の神

Abstract
日本語ではキリスト教の「ゴッド」は神と訳される。しかし神ということばは本来は神道の神を意味していた。したがって現代では「神」ということばには一神教の神と多神教の神という矛盾した二つの意味が共存している。なぜこのようなことが可能なのか。この一文では日本人の神道的世界観は矛盾した概念をも受け入れる包括性を持つものであるがゆえに神ということばの中に一神教の神と多神教の神が無批判に共存できるということを明らかにする。
Kami is interpreted from Christianity God in Japanese. However, the original meaning of Kami is gods of Shinto. Thus Kami has at least two meanings in it: monotheistic God and polytheism gods of Shinto. Contradictory ideas are included in one word Kami. It is unusual translation. In this article it will be clarified that Japanese inclusive perspective based on Shinto allows this ambiguous and polysemouse translation and this Shinto perspective allows people to accept this translation without criticism.
