DEPRESSION AND SOCIAL MEDIA BEHAVIOR

Abstract
Depression is defined as a state of mind that express an abnormalities such as depression, discourage, hopeless, boring, sadness, less of concentration, low self-esteem. They also have negative attitudes towards themselves and society. In addition, there are a physical disorder such as insomnia, exhausted, distraught, recluse. They usually have negative effects on everyday life, working and building relationships with others, leading of less happiness and it may lead to commit the suicide.
Nowadays Thailand is moving to the Digital Society which the IT are widely used and play crucial role in daily life. Due to the life style of modern people, they have to compete for working in any aspects of their life. They cannot avoid using Social media as a way to communicate with the others because it is very convenient, rapidly and it goes along well with the rush activity of modern life style. As a result, it builds a virtual emotion. However, it is found that over using social media is one of causes that lead to being depression especially the ones have sensitive emotions. There may be a negative attitude towards yourself, feel discouraged and hopeless.
So it is a time that everyone should realize about this problem and seek a solution together and try to find a way to prevent it before it will become a serious problem in the future of our society the most important institute which can effectively solve this problem is a family, and then education, government institute private sector. They should share their role and work together to find some method to prevent the depression in our society and give some useful advice for social media using in appropriate way.
