ANTECEDENCES AND CONSEQUENCES OF ENVIRONMENTAL EMPLOYEE LEARNING MANAGEMENT CAPABILITY OF FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRY IN THAILAND

Abstract
The purposes of this research were to study the antecedences affecting learning management capability of environmental employees of food processing industry in Thailand, which consisted of organizational environmental consciousness, and environmental transformational leadership; and to study the consequences of learning management capability of environmental employees, which consisted of environmental intellectual asset, responsiveness to external stakeholders, and organizational value. Moreover, this research also studied the influence of organizational flexibility on the relationship between learning management capability of environmental employees and the consequences. This research was a quantitative research. A questionnaire was used as the research tool to collect data from 248 samples out of 2,270 populations of food processing corporates in Thailand. Statistical procedure for hypothesis testing was the analysis of structural equation modeling, and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that the above-mentioned antecedences had positive impacts on learning management capability of environmental employees, which in turn had positive impacts on the consequences as well. Meanwhile, organizational flexibility had positive impact on the relationship between learning management capability of environmental employees and responsiveness to external stakeholders. The results of this study were valuable for creating policy recommendations at the macro level in order to formulate the policy for enhancing human capital and the production of safe and environmental friendly food processing products.
