PREPARATION OF THE SUSTAINABLE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT MASTER PLAN WITH THE COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN THE AREA OF LEELED SUBDISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION, PHUNPHIN DISTRICT AND KHLONG CHANAK SUBDISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION, MUANG DISTRICT, SURAT THANI PROVINCE

Abstract
This research aims (1) to develop the potential of the stakeholder groups who are people in communities with housing problems; (2) to study and analyze problems, potential, needs and housing development plans in all dimensions of the community through participation; (3) to design and formulate an engaging sustainable housing development master plan with stakeholder groups of the target communities; (4) to push, monitor and verify the sustainable housing development master plan with participation with stakeholders of the target communities; and (5) to summarize and draw on lessons learned from the Sustainable Housing Development Master Plan with participation from stakeholders of the target communities and related parties consisting of Community Organization Development Institute, Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, Marine Department, Forest Department, and Local Government Organizations. This research is a participatory action research using research tools consisting of geo-social mapping, community calendar, community history, and an in-depth interview with data classifcation analysis, comparative analysis of events, and document data analysis. The target group is representatives of the target communities’ stakeholder groups who are able to provide sufficient and relevant information to the study subjects by quota-selection method of 20 people per community, totaling 80 people. The results can develop the potential of stakeholder groups and connect relevant parties. In particular, the development plan addresses key issues of access to housing capital and credit, and infrastructure and infrastructure development under 5 plans and 12 projects.
