THE CAUSAL FACTORS INFLUENCING WORK HAPPINESS OF EMPLOYEES IN BANGKOK METROPOLITAN AREA

Abstract

This research aimed to (1) to study transformational leadership factors. work motivation factors, job characteristics factors, work happiness factors of employees in Bangkok area (2) to develop a causal factor model influencing the work happiness of employees in Bangkok area (3) to study the direct and indirect influences of the factors that influence the work happiness in Bangkok area. The sample used in this research was 400 employees working in Bangkok by using questionnaires as a tool to collect data. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Pearson's correlation coefficient analysis, confirmation element analysis and analysis of structural equation models. The research results were as follows: 1) transformational leadership factors, work motivation factors, job characteristic factors and, work happiness factors are more level. 2) The causal factor model of the work happiness of employees in Bangkok area developed was consistent with the empirical data. 3) the causal model of the work happiness of employees in Bangkok contains variables that directly influences work happiness such as work motivation factors and job characteristics and variables that indirectly influence work happiness were transformational leadership factors. which affects the work happiness through work motivation factors and job characteristics factors.
