ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างลักษณะคณะกรรมการและการเปิดเผยข้อมูลสิ่งแวดล้อม: กรณีศึกษาบริษัทที่จดทะเบียนในตลาดหลักทรัพย์ เอ็ม เอ ไอในประเทศไทย

บทคัดย่อ
การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาขอบเขตและระดับการเปิดเผยข้อมูลสิ่งแวดล้อม และทดสอบความสัมพันธ์ของลักษณะคณะกรรมการและระดับการเปิดเผยข้อมูลสิ่งแวดล้อมของบริษัทที่จดทะเบียนในตลาดหลักทรัพย์ เอ็ม เอ ไอในประเทศไทย โดยการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลทุติยภูมิจากรายงานประจำปี งบการเงิน และหมายเหตุประกอบงบการเงินของบริษัทที่จดทะเบียนในตลาดหลักทรัพย์ เอ็ม เอ ไอ ทั้ง 8กลุ่มอุตสาหกรรม ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2555 ถึงปี พ.ศ. 2558 กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่เข้าเงื่อนไขมีจำนวน 73 บริษัทระดับการเปิดเผยข้อมูลสิ่งแวดล้อมได้จากการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาด้วยวิธีการนับจำนวนคำ และใช้การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลจากสถิติเชิงพรรณนาและการวิเคราะห์การถดถอยพหุคูณ ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ค่าเฉลี่ยระดับการเปิดเผยข้อมูลสิ่งแวดล้อมของบริษัทที่จดทะเบียนในตลาดหลักทรัพย์ เอ็ม เอ ไอ ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2555 ถึงปี พ.ศ. 2558 มีแนวโน้มเพิ่มสูงขึ้นในทุกๆ ปี และมีค่าเฉลี่ยระดับการเปิดเผยข้อมูลสิ่งแวดล้อมในหมวดพลังงานสูงที่สุดของทุกปี ในด้านความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างลักษณะคณะกรรมการและระดับการเปิดเผยข้อมูลสิ่งแวดล้อมของบริษัทที่จดทะเบียนในตลาดหลักทรัพย์ เอ็ม เอ ไอ การศึกษาครั้งนี้ไม่พบความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างตัวแปรดังกล่าว แต่การศึกษาพบความสัมพันธ์ของตัวแปรควบคุมที่ใช้ คือ ประเภทอุตสาหกรรม ซึ่งมีความสัมพันธ์เชิงลบอย่างมีนัยสำคัญกับระดับการเปิดเผยข้อมูลสิ่งแวดล้อม
