This research investigated journalistic ideology within digital media news reporting, with three key objectives: 1) analyzed journalistic ideology in digital media, particularly in news media and reports by local and citizen journalists, 2) assessed audience satisfaction and expectations concerning news media's ideological aspects in the digital realm, and 3) explored guidelines for developing and applying journalistic ideology in digital news media. The study was conducted in-depth interviews with local and citizen journalists and surveys among the public. Findings highlighted a shared consensus among academics and the public regarding the importance of studying journalistic ideology in the digital age. Ideology's integration with ethics in modern journalism is emphasized. The digital age required more of ideology than before, due to audience desires for swiftness and currency. Guidelines for digital news media's evolution are suggested to be widely promoted, and clarity in defining ideology is essential for societal problem-solving. Recommendations include training, meetings, and knowledge enhancement for journalists and media consumers. Oversight by educational or professional organizations, with public involvement, is advocated for responsible journalism in today's diverse media.
