About the Journal
Policy and scope
The journal's policy is to consider and publish articles in the humanities and social sciences, covering fields such as business administration, accounting, economics, tourism and hospitality industry, communication arts, public administration, law, community development, applied arts, and related areas. Articles can be presented as academic or research articles in either Thai or English. Submitted articles must be original and not previously published or under consideration by other journals.
Objectives
The journal aims to publish high-quality academic and research that demonstrates both theoretical contributions for academics and researchers to develop or build upon new knowledge, and managerial contributions for entrepreneurs and the general public to apply appropriately.
Types
1. Research Article: Presents original research findings with clear significance, research methodology, and results.
2. Academic Article: Reviews academic literature, provides comparative analysis, and focuses on presenting interesting academic content, new academic knowledge that supports or challenges existing theories, or new analytical approaches.
3. Review Article: Analyzes and synthesizes current knowledge, provides critical commentary on future research directions, and evaluates the current state of academic knowledge.
4. Book Review: Offers critical opinions on books, presenting knowledge-based content with appropriate academic principles, highlighting strengths and weaknesses, and suggesting improvements. Includes an introduction, content, conclusion, and observations.
Languages
The journal accepts articles written in Thai or English.
Publication freguency
The journal publishes two issues per year:
Issue 1: January to June
Issue 2: July to December
Peer review process
The editorial board will check the scope of the article. If the article is within the journal's scope and passes the preliminary evaluation criteria, the author must pay the fees as announced by the journal. Following this, the editorial board will present the article to at least three expert reviewers from various institutions, who are not affiliated with the author's institution. The editorial board will select reviewers based on their knowledge, ability, and expertise relevant to the article. The article review process is Double blinded, meaning the reviewers do not know the author's identity, and the author does not know the reviewers' identities. After receiving the review results, the author must make the necessary revisions based on the reviewers' and editorial board's recommendations to ensure the highest accuracy and completeness of the academic work. If the work is verified to be accurate according to the journal's requirements, the process will proceed to the next steps for publication.
Publication Fees
The Phuket Rajabhat University Academic Journal will implement publication fees for authors submitting articles for publication from December 1, 2024, onwards, as follows:
- Research Articles/Academic Articles (Thai): 5,000 Baht/Article
- Research Articles/Academic Articles (English): Exempt, no publication fees will be charged.
Explanation of Payment Procedures:
Authors are required to pay the publication fees in two installments:
- Installment 1: 3,500 Baht, payable upon successful preliminary quality assessment by the editorial board.
- Installment 2: 1,500 Baht, payable upon approval for publication by the expert reviewers and the editorial board.

Note: In the event that an author's article does not pass the expert review process, the editorial board's decision, or due to author negligence, the Phuket Rajabhat University Academic Journal reserves the right not to refund the publication fees.
