Lesson Learned of Course and Activity Design for Citizenship and Public Consciousness Development within Prince of Songkla University Pattani Campus

Abstract
This article is based on classroom research by using the method of lesson learned along with classroom practice. There are three phases; 1) Preparation; 2) Classroom practices; and 3) Lesson learned. This research was studied in the 117-102 Citizenship and Public Consciousness courses which is a general education course for first year student of Prince of Songkla University Pattani Campus. This article aims to display lessons learned from course and activities design in semester one of academic year 2020. Total number of students enrolled for the course is 127. There are three parts in this article; 1) Course design - conducting a focus group of lecturers, staffs and stakeholders; 2) Activities design – arranging course contents which consists of Democratic citizenship, Digital citizenship, Global citizenship, Rules and laws, Social equality, Social responsibility, Social entrepreneurs, Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and Social volunteer for people health care. In addition, one part of the course content is integrated with a university activity “Freshy @ Pattani heritage city”; and 3) Students learning outcomes and reflections - evaluating from student’s learning outcomes and reflection in every class activity and project presentation.
