Knowledge and Behavioral Prevention of Hand, Foot and Mouth diseases among caregiver of Pre-school Children in the child development center of Jun-Aud Sub district Administration Organization, Nakhon Ratchasima Province

Abstract
The purpose of this descriptive research is to investigate the Knowledge and Behavioral Prevention of Hand, Foot and Mouth diseases (HFMD) among caregiver of Pre-school Children in the child development center of Jun - Aud Sub district Administration Organization, Jun - Aud Sub district, Non - Sung district, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Thailand. The samples of this study were 85 of caregivers of Pre-school Children. A self - administer structured questionnaire was used to assess demographic characteristics, Knowledge of HFMD and Behavioral Prevention of HFMD. Descriptive statistics including frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation were used for analyze the data. The results of this study found that 78.80 % of participants were females, 30.60% were age between 40 - 49 years old, 68.80% had primary school degree and 56.60 % had monthly income between 5,000 - 10,000 Thai Baht (THB). This study illustrated that 43.53% of the participants had high level of HFMD Knowledge and had good level of Behavioral Prevention of HFMD ( = 2.79, SD = 0.87). Appropriate HFMD prevention management in caregiver of Pre-school Children, improving the Knowledge of HFMD and Behavioral Prevention of HFMD would help strengthening in their child.
