A Study of Students Awareness for Sustainable Development of Students in High School

Abstract
The objectives of this research were to: 1) study students' awareness of sustainable development at the high school level, 2) compare awareness towards the sustainable development of students in high school level who were learning in different grades, and 3) compare awareness towards the sustainable development of students in high school level who were learning in different program. This study was conducted through survey research method. The sample group was the 395 students in high school level under The Secondary Educational Service Area Office Nakhon Ratchasima, in academic year 2022. They were selected by multi-stage random sampling method. The research tool was questionnaire of awareness towards sustainable development which had a Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of 0.88. The collected data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation, percentage, and one-way ANOVA. The results revealed that: 1) high school students have a high level of awareness of overall sustainable development, 2) students studying at different grade levels had a statistically significant difference in awareness of sustainable development at the .05 level, and 3) students enrolled in different study plans demonstrated a statistically significant difference in awareness of sustainable development at the .05 level.
Generally, the factor that was the strongest effect of awareness towards the sustainable development of students, it was closely context with the students.
