Tourism Collaboration Governance of Phuket Province

Abstract
The objectives of this research were 1) to study the good governance in tourism collaboration in Phuket; 2) to study the factors affecting the promotion of good governance development in Phuket tourism collaboration and 3) to present a model of good governance in tourism collaboration in Phuket. This research uses qualitative method data collected through documentation, interview, focus group, data analysis namely: data reduction, presentation of data and conclusions or verification. The results showed: 1) The good governance in tourism collaboration in Phuket has not yet made substantial use of good governance under the benefits of tourism. 2) Factors that promote the development of good governance and collaboration in tourism in Phuket are 1) government policies that promote good governance 2) participation 3) news awareness and public relations 4) Laws and regulations 5) Amenities 6) Accessibility 3) The model of governance for tourism collaboration in Phuket uses the PHUGET Model, where P represents Public Participatory, meaning coordination of government sector, private sector, and the public. H represents Hospitality, meaning cultivating citizen awareness to offer a warm welcome to guests. U represents the Unity in tourism management. G represents Regulation Guillotine, the appropriate improvement of regulations, which also follows the “Local regulations.” E represents Education, learning and development. And T represents Technology - to manage and collect information for the Big Data for future analysis during planning and decision making. To increase the efficiency and effectiveness of tourism collaboration governance of Phuket province.
