Guidelines for human resource development and adaptation in the new normal life affecting on the performance of a hotel employee in Phuket

Abstract

This research aims to study the elements of human resource development on work practices in the new normal life and analyze relationship work adjustments practices in new normal life to propose guidelines for improving work practices in the new normal life. The research model is developed using the concept of human resource development, operational adaptation and work efficiency. The sample consisted of 180 hotel employees in Phuket with a stratified random sampling method. The online questionnaire was used as a research tool and data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, independent sample T-test, F-test, and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that the average of overall is at a high level. Therefore, there was a positive correlation at the highest level between human resource development, operational adaptation, and work efficiency. Moreover, the study guidelines found that various incentives should be added more for employees as a motivation to develop themselves for the most effective performance. In addition, the research results can be used as supporting information as guidelines for human resource development in the organization to match with the world’s trend.
