The Development Website for Creative E-Portfolio Design Training Provided to Students of Graduate Diploma Program in Teaching Profession at Faculty of Education, Phuket Rajabhat University

Abstract

The current study aimed at 1) developing a website for creative E-portfolio design training provided to students of graduate diploma program in teaching profession department at Faculty of Education, Phuket Rajabhat University and 2) comparing their learning outcomes before and after being trained with the website. The samples were the students studying in graduate diploma program of teacher profession department at Faculty of Education, Phuket Rajabhat University. In particular, there were four classes of the program. However, by means of cluster sampling, 30 students from class number one were invited to involve in the study. Research tools used consisted of 1) a website for creative E-portfolio design training, and              2) assessment forms to evaluate media and content qualities of the website and 3) 30-item pre- and post-tests with four multiple choices. Statistics used for data analysis included mean () standard deviation and dependent t-test.


The results have showed that; 1) as evaluated by 3 specialists of educational technology, the media quality of the website for creative E-portfolio design training was discovered to be at the highest level ( = 4.70, S.D. = 0.46), and its content quality evaluated by 3 specialist of the website content was similarly found at the highest level (= 4.64, S.D. = 0.48); and                   2) referring to learning outcomes of the 30 students, the total average score before being trained with the website was at 19.53 with the standard deviation at 2.93 while the total average score was increased to 25.80 with the standard deviation at 1.81 after the training. When the average scores were compared, it suggested that the learning outcomes of the students were significantly statistical increased at .05.
