Guidelines for Community-based Tourism Management of Loang-Him-Kow Community, San Klang Subdistrict, San Kamphaeng District, Chiang Mai Province

Abstract
This research aims at studying tourism contexts of Loang-Him-Kow Community, San Klang Subdistrict, San Kamphaeng District, Chiang Mai Province, then proposing guidelines for community-based tourism development. Qualitative research was applied to figure out tourism contexts of the community for tourism development and promotion. Purposive sampling was selected, as a result 15 informants were interviewed, and content analysis was done. In terms of tourism contexts, physical aspects of Loang-Him-Kow Community consist of natural and cultural resources, including traditions, local wisdom, and crafts. For administrative management, there has been the board of committee who were selected to prepare community rules and regulations. For tourist activities, craft learning process and workshops were designed for tourists. In terms of management for tourism development and promotion, it was found that there should be guidelines consisting of tourism management, site accessibility, facilities, community-based tourism activities, and tourism marketing.
