Abstract

This study aims to compare the perspectives of executives and personnel regarding the acceptance of structural changes at the Phuket Campus Office, Prince of Songkla University, Phuket Campus. This is a qualitative research study. The sample consists of 16 executives and department heads, as well as 23 personnel. The research instrument used is a semi-structured interview. The research findings reveal 1) Policy and Development Direction: All parties recognize the importance of progressing toward internationalization and the challenges faced. While the strategic plan is perceived as clear, limitations remain in organizational capacity, staff readiness, communication, sustainability, and confidence in achieving success. 2) Organizational Structure: The current structure aligns with the institution's mission, with clear role delineation, support for personnel, and effective communication. However, improvements are needed in task distribution, reducing redundancy, merging similar units, and the absence of some assistant vice-presidents has created administrative gaps. 3) Management Systems: Management processes are effective but characterized by imbalanced workloads, complex procedures, and communication issues.Recommendations include streamlining document processes, decentralizing authority, adopting technology, and enhancing personnel development. 4) Human Resources: Staff possess adequate skills but require further development in English proficiency and technological competencies. Heavy workloads and unclear communication remain challenges. Emphasis should be placed on development activities and effective workload management
