Publication Ethics

The journal serves as a medium for communicating academic and research works to the general public. The journal's editorial board recognizes the publication ethics of authors, reviewers, and editors. To ensure ethical publication, the journal has established the following publication ethics.

Duties of Authors

1. Authors must submit articles that do not involve plagiarism, either in part or in whole, from the content of others. Submitted articles must not have been previously published or be under consideration for publication in another journal, and must not duplicate or plagiarize the work of others. Plagiarism and copyright infringement are the sole responsibility of the authors.

2. If an author's article is accepted for publication, the author agrees to verify the accuracy and completeness of the article's format and content until it is published. The journal's editorial board will provide the author with opportunities to review and revise the article according to the journal's requirements before the publication stage.

3. Opinions expressed in the articles published in the journal are the direct views and responsibilities of the authors and do not reflect the views or responsibilities of the journal's editorial board or Phuket Rajabhat University.

4. Authors who use the work of others in their articles must provide complete and accurate source information and include a bibliography (reference listห) at the end of the article, strictly adhering to the citation format specified by the journal's editorial board.

5. Authors must provide accurate information and must not distort or falsify data.

6. All authors listed in the article must have genuinely contributed to the research.

7. Authors must disclose funding sources that supported the research in the acknowledgments section.

8. Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest (if any).

9. Authors should be aware that articles, data, content, images, etc., published in the Journal of Business Administration are the exclusive copyright of the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Thammasat University, and not the copyright of the authors.

10. Authors must acknowledge and accept the terms and policies for article consideration and publication from the Journal of Business Administration.

11. The author is required to specify the research ethics involving human and animal subjects (if applicable).

Duties of Reviewers

1. Reviewers in their respective fields of expertise are responsible for evaluating the accuracy and interest of the article's content with impartiality and without bias, considering the benefits to the readers, and providing constructive and clear suggestions for improvement, without using personal opinions or preferences to judge the article.

2. Reviewers should assess the article based on its academic quality. If a reviewer is invited by the journal's editorial board, they should promptly accept or decline the invitation and should not ignore the request. Reviewers should also evaluate the article within the journal's specified timeframe. If a reviewer cannot submit their feedback within the deadline, they should inform the journal's editorial board and provide a new submission deadline.

3. After the initial review and feedback, if the author revises the article (with reasons and explanations) and resubmits it for consideration, the journal's editorial board will request a subsequent review. The reviewer will then assess the revisions and inform the editorial board of their decision.

4. Reviewers must not disclose any information from the evaluated work to unrelated parties (confidentiality) during the review period. They should also not inquire with the editorial board or attempt to obtain information about the article they have agreed to review.

5 If a reviewer receives an article in which they may have an involvement or conflict of interest, they should immediately notify the editor and decline to review the article.

Duties of Editors

1. Editors must consistently improve the quality of the journal.

2. Editors must conduct an initial quality assessment of articles before the review process, without any bias.

3. Editors must have a system for managing conflicts of interest for themselves, journal staff, authors, reviewers, and the editorial board.

4. Editors are responsible for selecting qualified reviewers with expertise in the relevant fields to evaluate articles, while strictly maintaining the confidentiality of author and reviewer information.

5 Editors must make publication decisions only after the article has undergone the review process, primarily based on the submission queue, content interest/diversity, and other suitability factors. In cases where an article cannot be published in the issue specified in the acceptance letter, the editors reserve the right to publish it in subsequent issues, after notifying the authors in advance.

6. If plagiarism is detected during the review process, editors must immediately halt the review process and contact the lead author for a written explanation, which will be used to decide whether to accept or reject the article.

7. Editors must be willing to correct publication errors to ensure clarity. If editors become aware of inaccuracies in published articles, misleading statements, or misrepresented reports, they must make immediate corrections. Additionally, if misconduct is discovered after investigation, editors must retract the article with clear and verifiable evidence, and notify readers and other database systems of the retraction.
