Waste Management (Zero Waste): A Case Study of a Model Community Kamphaeng Phet Province

Abstract

This objectives of the research to study (1) the waste management process of the model community in Kamphaeng Phet Province (2) the components of success in waste management of the model community in Kamphaeng Phet Province.This research is a qualitative research on case studies of community waste management in Kamphaeng Phet Province that received national awards for 3 communities, namely Ban Khui Mamuang, Ban Bo Tham and Ban Dong Yen. The research tool was in-depth interviews with key informants, divided into 3 groups: 3 executives, 6 operational staff, and 6 community leaders, totaling 15 people. and analyze data and synthesize data. Using content analysis and descriptive presentation techniques. The results of the research found that (1) there is a solid waste management plan in each community. With the participation of local communities, temples, all sectors work together to apply the 3Rs principle in solid waste management. There is coordination between relevant agencies in both the public and (2) the components of success in community waste management include: Participation from all sectors in the integrated community that has consistently developed model community waste management and having a model community learning center for integrated waste management that can further expand the network of cooperation to other communities.
