Abstract

This research on The Development of Management Model for Creative and Productive School in Thailand has the objective to 1. To develop the Management Model for Creative and Productive School in Thailand 2.To assess the Management Model for Creative and Productive School in Thailand.

The research is composed in 3 steps. (1.) Study the condition of management for Creative and Productive School in Thailand by interviewing the executives in 4 schools’ case studies. (2.) Develop the model by interviewing 11 experts and asking for the opinion of school directors, deputy directors of schools and teachers in the basic education for 440 people. (3) Assess the suitability and the possibility by the experts. By the method of focus groups in the statistical analysis of the data, there is content analysis, summary, distribution frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviations. The result of this research can conclude as follows:-

1. The condition of the management for creative and productive School in Thailand, the people and the parents still do not understand the new knowledge management. It includes the integration of sciences and technologies under the Thai approach. The separated opinion of the executives, teachers and staff must have the dedicated time to analyze this new teaching approach. They must make the research and take the research to practice in philosophy and principles. The schools insist on the students being confident, self-assured and self- developed. The principle for managing the structure in the organization, the executives have to work closely with teachers, each organization can organize itself. The principles organize the flexible courses and insist on the learner’s participation for designing the educational activities both inside and outside class. The way for knowledge management and the design for knowledge that is harmonious with the nature and practicing from the project. The Learning management is the integrated unit and the approach of school management will have to communicate with the public and the personal to understand the idea of school. The idea of participation is between parents and schools by the joint activities. 

2. The model of creative and productive school in the Thai society that developed from this research. This research realizes that the high quality school must have the flexible people’s development. It has the learning process to create students to think and do by themselves. The main role of teachers will be the mentor in order to assess the children’s ability. They must have the philosophy and the principle that insist on Life Long Learning, the way of organization and independent self- management in structure. The principle of the curriculum management has the creative curriculum in every subject. The curriculums insist on the activities as internationalization. The approach of knowledge management organizes the integrated unit. The learners have the opportunities to learn through practicing from projects and the approach of the new management. The teachers and the personal understand the school’s idea, participatory approach and educational management. On behalf of the supporters in the area and the learning resources, the executives, the teachers and the parents must have the participation for the educational management.

3. From the assessment on the suitability and the possibility, it realizes that the Development of Management Model for Creative and Productive School in Thailand from the aspect of model and the component of the model is suitable and possible in the high-level (the mean is 4.00, 3.83 and 3.67, 3.82 respectively). The condition and the application model are suitable and possible in the medium-level (the mean is 3.50 and 3.20 respectively.)
