Abstract

The objective of this research was to study analytical thinking skills and learning achievement in the chemical reactions subject among grade 9 students above the threshold of 70% after receiving inquiry-based learning arrangements combined with the use of open-ended problems. The target group for this research was students in grade 9 at a school in Kalasin province. 38 students studying in the first semester of the 2022 academic year were selected by selective selection. The tools used in the research were six inquiry-based learning management plans, student interviews, and analytical thinking skills tests. 3 papers Achievement Test 1 paper, data analyzed with statistics. Mean, percentage, and standard deviation

The results showed that 1) the critical thinking skills on chemical reactions of students in grade 3 had an average score of 77.58 percent, above the threshold of 70 percent, and 2) the academic achievement on chemical reactions of students in grade 3 had an average score of 75.85 percent, higher than the threshold of 70 percent.
