Relationship between Corporate Social Responsibility Based on Green Leaf Standard and Employee Commitment in Hotel Business in Phuket

Abstract
This research aims to study the relationship between corporate social responsibility Based on Green Leaf Standard and employee commitment in hotel business in Phuket. Primary and secondary data were collected by questionnaires from 387 employees of the hotels in Phuket. Statistical values in term of percentage, mean, standard deviation and Pearson correlation were analysed. The results were found that 18 factors in corporate social responsibility according to green leaf hotel standard consisting of communication and policy, staff development, committee, aim and action plan, waste management, energy consumption efficiency, water consumption efficiency, kitchen and canteen, laundry, buying process, indoor air quality, air and noise pollution, water and water quality, spa and massage, exercise place, swimming pool, water and outdoor activities, safety, environmental impact, community participation and culture promotion were related to employee commitment in positive way at 0.05 and 0.01 statistical significance level in 3 aspects. First, high confidence in aim and value acceptance of the organization was highly related in positive way to social responsibility in terms of policy and communication, committee, indoor air quality, air and noise pollution, whereas it was slightly related in terms of staff development, aim and action plan, water consumption efficiency. Second, high dedication for benefit of the organization was highly related in positive way to social responsibility in terms of committee, whereas it was slightly related in terms of staff development, aim and action plan. Third, requirement for member being of the organization was slightly related in positive way to social responsibility in terms of policy and communication and committee.
