The Development in Reading comprehension Achievement of Prathomsuksa 5 students Taught Using the SQ4R Method

Abstract
The research on “The development of reading comprehension achievement for prathomsuksa 5 by SQ4R teaching method”, aims to compared reading comprehension achievement of Prathomsuksa 5 students taught using the SQ4R method before learning and after learning. The population used in the research was students of Prathomsuksa school students at Ban Wang Ta Thep School, Chaiyaphum Primary Educational Service Area Office, Region 3, 105 students. The target group for this research was Prathomsuksa 5 students at Ban Wang Ta Thep School for the academic year 2019 by choosing a specific type of 20 students. Tools used in the research were learning management plans and achievement tests before and after learning that has been inspected and searched for Item-Objective Congruence Index (IOC) from experts. The statistics used in the research were mean ( ), standard deviation (S.D.), compare pre-test and post-test scores using the t-test statistics based on dependent testing. The results of the research showed the comparison of reading comprehension achievement by using the SQ4R method for prathomsuksa 5 found that the post-test scores were higher than pre-test scores with a statistical significance of 0.5
