Model of participation in social activities of the elderly in Bangkapi area Bangkok

The purposes of this research were The model of participation in social activities of the elderly in Bangkapi area Bangkok Use survey research the instrument tools were questionnaires that were divided into three sections: personal data, incentives, and the styles of the social activities’ participation. The samples of the research were the elders in Bang Kapi district, Bangkok, which accounted for 394 persons. The researcher used the statistics to analyze the data, those were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, One-way-ANOWA, Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient, and Multiple Linear Regression The analysis results showed that Personal factors in sex, age, marital status and education level affecting participation in social activities that are statistically significant at the 0.01 level. In terms of occupation, income, housing period, the elderly's experience does not affect participation in social activities statistically significant at 0.05 level. Motivation factors affect the participation in social activities of the elderly. 86.80% and the level of participation in social activities include decision-making, operations, benefits, and evaluation found that they participated in the high level in all 4 forms
