Effect of Stress, Depression, to Dropout Decision and Stress Management among bachelor’s students, Faculty of Hospitality Industry, Dusit Thani College, Bangkok

Abstract
The purposes of the research were to Determine and compare the prevalence of both stress and depression among bachelor’s students, Faculty of Hospitality Industry, Dusit Thani College, Bangkok, classify by program., study the influence of stress and depression on dropout decisions., and study stress management factors among bachelor’s students, Faculty of Hospitality Industry, Dusit Thani College, Bangkok, who registered in this second semester, the academic year 2021 and studying in the first to fourth year. The data was collected by online questionnaires with 416 samples.
The results show that the prevalence of stress was at a moderate level, the prevalence of depression was at a mild level and the most of samples would like to be graduates, but some of them had a high intention to drop out. Stress management shows that the most of samples have a moderate level of coping strategies, a high level of perceived social support, and a high level of spiritual intelligence. Incidentally, the result show that students with different level of stress affect the level of depression as well (β = 0.242, R2 = 0.271), and the stress affects student dropout decisions (β = -0.104, R2 = 0.329) with a 0.05 statistical significance.
