Abstract

This study aimed to explore the problems and requirements related to the use of a web application to support caregivers of dependent older adults. A descriptive research design was employed, involving a purposive sample of 550 participants, including Care Managers (CM), Caregivers (CG), and Village Health Volunteers (VHVs) in Kamphaeng Phet Province, selected through purposive sampling from 11 districts. The research instrument was a questionnaire developed based on literature review and real working context. Its content validity was verified by three experts, with an Index of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) of 1.00, confirming the appropriateness for measuring the research objectives. Descriptive statistics were used for data analysis. The research findings indicated that the participants expressed a high level of demand for the application (mean = 3.95 out of 5.00), particularly in areas related to data recording, care planning, and communication with relevant agencies. These insights can serve as a guideline for developing an effective web application to enhance elderly care and improve the efficiency of caregiving for dependent eldery adults.
