This research aimed to examine: (1) The personal factors influencing the operational efficiency of animal feed businesses, and (2) The success factors of logistics processes that affect operational efficiency in the animal feed industry. The study employed a quantitative research design. The population consisted of consumers who had used animal feed products or services in Nakhon Pathom Province. A total of 400 respondents were selected through convenience sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire that was validated for content validity and demonstrated an acceptable level of reliability. Descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, were employed, while inferential statistics involved one-way ANOVA and correlation analysis to test the hypotheses.
The findings revealed that: (1) the majority of the respondents were male, aged between 41–50 years, held a bachelor’s degree, worked in private companies, and earned an average monthly income of 40,001–50,000 baht; (2) overall, the success factors of logistics processes were considered highly important, with a mean score of 3.85, and the highest-rated dimension was rationality (R), reflecting reasonableness; and (3) operational efficiency was also rated as highly important overall, with a mean score of 3.81, with the highest-rated dimension being work process execution. Hypothesis testing indicated that personal factors such as gender, age, and occupation significantly affected operational efficiency, while education level and income did not. Moreover, logistics process success factors were found to have a strong positive correlation with operational efficiency at the 0.01 significance level (r = 0.763, p < 0.01). Key contributing components included customer support, measurability, attributes conducive to competitive advantage, and rationality, all of which were positively associated with sustained improvements in operational efficiency.
