GUIDELINES FOR PROMOTING THE SUCCESS OF OPERATIONS BASED ON THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY CONCEPT OF COMMUNITY ENTERPRISES IN NAKHONPATHOM PROVINCE

The promotion of the circular economy concept at the grassroots level still lacks concrete practical guidelines, resulting in community enterprises facing crises related to operational costs and environmental management. This qualitative research aims to study the operational processes, successes, conditions for success, and guidelines for promoting the successful implementation of circular economy principles among community enterprises in Nakhon Pathom Province. This study employed a qualitative research methodology, utilizing purposive sampling to select 14 key informants. The research instrument used was a semi-structured interview guide. Data collection methods included in-depth interviews and focus group discussions. Qualitative data was analyzed using thematic analysis, and data quality was ensured through data and methodological triangulation.
The research findings demonstrate that the operational process of community enterprises in Nakhon Pathom Province is centered on achieving "Zero Waste" by upcycling agricultural waste in alignment with local topography and enhancing production through science and technology. This success is evidenced by improved community self-reliance, the establishment of local financial circulation systems, a revitalization of traditional wisdom, the reintegration of younger generations into the local workforce, and the restoration of local ecosystems. Furthermore, the study identifies four critical pillars leadership, management, member participation, and multi-stakeholder collaboration which serve as both the fundamental conditions for success and the primary strategies for strengthening the community’s economic system and long-term sustainability.
