THE INFLUENCE OF WORKPLACE SPIRITUALITY AND EMPLOYEES’ ENGAGEMENT ON EMPLOYEES’ PERFORMANCE IN ELECTRONICS MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY IN LAEM CHABANG INDUSTRIAL ESTATE, CHON BURI

The objectives of this study were: 1) to study the level of workplace spirituality, employee engagement and employees’ performance, 2) to analyze the influence of workplace spirituality on employee engagement, 3) to analyze the influence of workplace spirituality on employees’ performance, 4) to analyze the influence of employee engagement on employees’ performance. The population were employees in electronics manufacturing industry in Laem Chabang Industrial Estate, Chonburi. The data were collected from 366 sample by using questionnaire. The statistics used in data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation and structural equation modeling (SEM). The results revealed that the level of workplace spirituality was at the highest level, employee engagement and employees’ performance was at the high level. Based on the result of SEM analysis, the model was fitted with data as well. The goodness of fit indices was as followed: λ2 = 30.67, λ2/df = 1.917, df = 16, p-value = 0.074, GFI = 0.979, AGFI = 0.952, CFI = 0.973, RMR = 0.005, RMSEA = 0.050, NFI = 0.947. Workplace spirituality positively influenced on employees’ performance with a statistical significance level at 0.05. Workplace spirituality positively influenced on employee engagement with a statistical significance level at 0.001. Employee engagement positively influenced on employees’ performance with a statistical significance level at 0.001.
