THE DEVELOPMENT OF INSTRUCTIONAL PACKAGE PROMOTING HIGH-ORDER THINKING SKILLS IN GENERAL EDUCATION AT SRINAKHARINWIROT UNIVERSITY

The purpose of this research is to develop general education instructional teaching and learning packages for enhancing undergraduate students’ high-order thinking skills, specifically in Creativity, Innovation, and Technology subject at Srinakharinwirot University. The set of activities and assessments are under the concept of Anderson and Krathwohl’s taxonomy (2001) adapted from Bloom’s Taxonomy (1956) which covers memory, understanding, application, analysis, evaluation and creativity. The research indicates that, 1. A set of learning activities to promote advanced thinking skills in general education subjects. Creative subjects with innovation and technology. Passed the appropriateness and consistency check of the structure of the activity series. The results of the suitability audit found that the average score ranged from 4.24 to 4.67, which was found to be very high in all evaluations. For the consistency check results, the consistency index value was between .67 and .001. Each component of the activity series is consistent. 2. Satisfaction evaluation of use of activity series advanced thinking skills In the good-level. 3. Students in different faculties had advanced thinking skills not significantly at the 0.05 leve
