THE DEVELOPMENT OF TRAINING CURRICULUM TO ENCHANCE WRITING INSTRUCTION ABILITY IN CREATIVE WRITING AND WRITING PRODUCING SKILL FOR TEACHERS OF THE OFFICE OF THE BASIC EDUCATION COMMISSION

Abstract

The purpose of this research were to develop the training curriculum to enchance writing instruction ability in creative writing and writing producing skill for teachers of the Office of the Basic Education Commission and to evaluate its effectiveness based on its implementation to Grade four to six students by those teachers who were trained through the training curriculum. Thirty teachers derived by multistage random sampling and ninety students derived by stratifies random sampling were the subjects in the experimental design. The results of the research were as follow: (1) The result of curriculum quality examination by experts revealed that the training curriculum was appropriate and congruent in its element at high level. (2) The training curriculum effectiveness on the teacher’s in terms of understanding, attitude, and ability of teaching strategies has developed with stastistically significance at .01 level, the experimental group of students has learning achievement higher at the .01 significance, and the teachers ability in design of teaching creative writing and writing producing skill at the higest level in every aspect. (3) The result of satisfaction evaluation on the training curriculum of teachers was at high level.
